Sleep Over with Friends

I had the pleasure of sleeping over with Coach, also a foster at a friends house this weekend (9/2008). It was the first time I had met Coach and the family. We all hit it off great right from the beginning.
I had so much fun running around the backyard.
We were being tested on our bird instincts too, I love birds.

Recently I met the IBR foster care coordinator. She came to the dog park where I was running and playing with my friends. The dog park is so much fun! I get to run around and play with other dogs. She can't believe how handsome I am!!! In her words I am "Absolutely stunning!" And I'm very friendly. I ran right up to her and greeted her. I let her pet me and kiss me and I loved every minute of it.She said if she didn't have a house full of dogs she would have taken me home. She said I'm a very special boy. I must have really made her heart melt!I am 50lbs, but my foster mom said I need to put some weight on. Also I went through my neuter surgery with flying colors, so I've had all my vetting and that not so fun stuff done.I bet if you saw me in person you would agree that I am friendly and so lovable, oh and lets not forget handsome.XOXO,Oxford

Oxford has arrived in regular foster care. His new foster mom writes: "I thought I would send you some new pictures of Oxford to update his IBR profile. He just came to us on Saturday from Eric's in Delavan and already he's fit in nicely with my tribe. He is completely potty trained and very quiet in the house. He goes into his crate with no problem or fuss. Just a really sweet dog that loves to run around the backyard with my Roo."
Roo and Oxford are best buddies already!

Oxford's temp foster mom writes: He’s doing great inside tonight (first time in the house – he’s visiting tonight) – really remembered the “blanket” command and he is getting along great with my Vizsla. He is the friendliest dog in the world. No accidents in the house so far.
Oxford is a higher energy boy that's VERY birdy!

A puppy boy from Missouri

Hi, my name is Oxford. I was dropped off at a Missouri shelter, because the family that got me from a breeder didn't want me anymore.
I'm so glad that Illinois Birddog Rescue is taking me in and giving me a chance to find a nice forever home. I've been with shelter foster families for a while. I'm about 6 months old now and bigger than in these photos that were taken when I was just 11 weeks old---but I'm as cute a boy as ever...that's what my foster mom is saying.
